Following their introduction to Hope for Kasai earlier that year, Sunset Elementary took action in a beautiful way: they dedicated the proceeds of their annual World Fair to the children of Kasai.
The World Fair is a school-wide cultural celebration where students explore different countries, their traditions, food, and history. This year, the event had an added purpose — raising funds for a community they had learned about and connected with.
Every dollar raised went directly to programs in Kasai. It's a powerful lesson in global citizenship: that the choices we make here, in our classrooms and communities, can change lives far away. Thank you, Sunset Elementary, for showing your students exactly that.
