Every pencil tells a story. In April 2013, St. Theresa School organized a school supplies drive for the children of Kabata School in Kasai, DRC. Students, teachers, and families donated notebooks, pencils, erasers, and crayons — basic materials that most of us take for granted, but that represent a world of possibility for a child in Kasai.
Before Hope for Kasai's education programs, fewer than 10% of children in Mpiana Ntita attended school. Many of those who did had to share a single pencil among four classmates. This drive helped change that reality — one supply kit at a time.
