In March 2016, the Hope for Kasai team visited Colegio Gimnasio Los Pinares in Bogotá, Colombia. The visit was part of a growing effort to bring the story of Kasai to young people in Latin America — building awareness, inspiring action, and expanding the community of supporters beyond Miami.
Students heard stories from the field: about children learning without supplies, mothers giving birth without medical help, and communities walking hours for water. They also heard about what was changing — the maternity center, the school, the clean water project.
The response from students was moving. Many expressed a desire to get involved, to fundraise, to be part of the solution. That's exactly the spirit that keeps Hope for Kasai alive: the belief that anyone, anywhere, can contribute to real change.
