In May 2014, Hope for Kasai hosted its first ever fundraising gala — an evening of dinner, community, and shared purpose. The goal was clear: raise enough funds to complete the construction of the Centre de Santé et Maternité María Jesús, the maternal health center in Mpiana Ntita.
Guests gathered to celebrate the work being done in Kasai, hear stories from the field, and contribute to a cause that was already changing lives. The response was extraordinary. The gala exceeded its fundraising goals and made a direct impact on the completion of a facility that would go on to assist thousands of safe births.
Today, that center has welcomed 4,353 babies into the world — with zero infant mortality at birth. It began with a night like this one. Thank you to every guest, sponsor, and volunteer who made it happen.
